What are Microsoft Blue main features?

Microsoft Blue is a new operating system that has been developed by Microsoft–the creators of Windows, the most popular operating system on the planet. The new operating system has not been released as of this date, however, the news of some of its functions has been. This operating system is one that is being created for mobile devices only. The Windows 7 and 8 versions are okay for using on mobile devices, but are a little bit too sophisticated and work better on PCs and laptops. Here are some features of the Microsoft Blue OS.

A split screen app function

This allows you to use one app, and then start another and place it besides the first. That way you have two apps running that take up fifty percent of the screen each. The only other operating system that offers this sort of benefit, will only allow one app to run on seventy five percent of the screen, whilst the other runs on twenty five percent of the screen.

Settings functions that are optimized for mobile

With the current Windows OS, if you want to alter the settings of the OS, then you need to go to the control panel in the same way that you would need to with a PC. You then need to adjust your settings from this control panel, which in many cases is not built for touch-finger operation. The new OS has solved this by bringing out the control panel settings into a more expanded menu that is touch-screen friendly. This also means that you can more easily adjust the default apps or the screen resolutions, etc.

It has an even better SkyDrive

The SkyDrive is a cloud based storage device. It allows people to save documents and files online, and then retrieve them later. If you are using desktop and mobile devices, then you may find the SkyDrive very handy. You may also find it a lot of help if you like to download and upload larger files for other people to look at.

The modern SkyDrive app for mobile devices is not the same as what you get with a desktop computer. With a desktop computer you get full access to SkyDrive, including allowing you to upload content. With the SkyDrive app on mobile devices (including those with Windows 8), you are not allowed to upload content, you are only able to download it. You cannot synchronize new files with the cloud on mobile devices; however, with Microsoft Blue installed on your mobile device, you are able to synchronize your files with those on the Cloud.

The SkyDrive section is on your PC settings on your OS, and there is a file submenu that comes with Windows Blue. It allows you to synchronize your files with those online with the Windows Blue OS.

You should expect new software/apps

This is going to be nothing short of inevitable. They are going to have to develop a lot of new apps to replace the software that Windows 8 comes with. This means that new alarm apps will be needed, new mail apps, recorder apps, etc. The only worry is that in creating and replacing old functions that they will leave some out. For example, Windows 7 and 8 have a very good voice recognition program, and it would be a shame if they did not create an app to replace that. Furthermore, there should be more apps that will be better optimized for mobile only use.

The Windows Blue OS may have the next generation of IE

The IE (Internet explorer) is the most popular web browser on the planet, mainly because it is installed within windows operated devices. This means that it is the default browser for almost every Windows OS. The IE 11 is the next generation of web browsers and it is go0ing to be part of Microsoft Blue. This stands to reason anyway, as Windows 8 has IE 10, so it stands to reason that the next big OS is going to iterate its web browser upwards too.

There is some speculation that suggests the new IE will have some sort of synced SkyDrive tabbed system. There is definitely a rumor going around that some form of tag syncing will be going on.

Vimeo Channels Offer A More Diverse Watching Experience Than YouTube [Stuff to Watch]

One thing that has always annoyed me about YouTube is a lack of proper channels. A typical “YouTube channel” is merely one user’s collection of videos. Not so on Vimeo; a channel is a user-created collection of videos from any of the service’s content producers. Channels revolve around themes and interests.
