Are you the first-time parent of a newborn and unsure whether you’re bottle-feeding your child properly? The BlueSmart mia2 is a smart bottle sleeve that’s designed to address any errors you might be making, and ultimately instill confidence in you as a parent.
This silicon bottle sleeve is flexible enough to slip onto pretty much any baby bottle. While it’s on, you can fill the bottle with milk or formula and it’ll automatically sense the temperature and how many ounces you’ve filled.
As you feed your child, the BlueSmart mia2 will track how much you’ve fed and how long you’ve been feeding. You can also input the age and weight of your child and the device will make smart recommendations regarding feeding portions—so you don’t have to worry about whether you’re feeding too little or too much.
The BlueSmart mia2 has two other notable features: a sensor that will warn you if you’re feeding at a bad angle and tell you how to adjust to feed properly, and an expiration warning that will notify you when the milk or formula has been sitting out too long and is no longer safe for feeding. As a sleep-deprived parent, these warnings can be life-savers when things have slipped your mind.
All of the data tracked by the BlueSmart mia2 can be accessed and viewed using the accompanying mobile app, and this can come in handy when you’re away from home and someone else (e.g. a babysitter) is watching over your child. Just pop into the app and you can see when they were fed last, how much they were fed, and if there were any issues.
The device is battery-powered and lasts up to 7 days on a single charge. The battery base pops out of the silicon sleeve, and the silicon sleeve is dishwasher safe while the battery base can be hand-washed with soap and water.
The BlueSmart mia2 will be available on Amazon starting February 1, 2019 at a price of $99.99.
